How to create this in a few steps with a little bit of patience!!
Step one ... once you have prepared the silk use the transparent guta to do the first part, the main lines and always with the color structure in your mind!!! ( normally I wait one day till it's dry)
Como crear esto en unos pocos pasos y con un poco de paciencia !!
Primer paso.... una vez preparada la seda usa la guta transparente para hacer la primera parte, las líneas principales , eso si siempre teniendo la estructura de color en mente! ( espera un día hasta que se seque)
Step two.... once it is dry... apply the silver guta and the gold guta in different parts of the scarve. ( usually also one day to assure it's dry!!)
Paso dos... una vez seco... aplica la guta de color plateado y la dorada en diferentes partes del pañuelo. ( normalmente espero un día para asegurarme que está seco)
Step three.... following the color structure paint ....but do not forget... every color change means that the color before has to be dry !!!
Paso tres.... sigue la estructura de color al pintar... pero no te olvides... cada cambio de color significa que el color anterior tiene que estar seco!!!
Step four .... iron to fix all the colors and the silver and gold guta!!!
Paso cuatro... plancha para fijar todos los colores y la guta plateada y dorada!!
Step five... wash it to eliminate the transparent guta... and wear it with a great outfit!!!
Paso cinco... lavalo para eliminar la guta transparente... y llevalo con un look genial!!!

En este ejemplo se puede ver lo útil que es buscar nuevas ideas e intentar usar materiales extraños al la hora de imprimir..... (Aqui puse guta sobe una vieja botalla decorada con relieve y lo presione contra el pañuelo), después apliqué una base de un solo color homogéneo y lo completé poniendo gotas del mismo color encima.
De esta forma puedes hacer un estampado de topitos rodeando el motivo.
To do this type of pattern just make a base of a homogen color and then afterwards use the thickener mixed up with the color and apply with a very thin brush.....
Para hacer este tipo de "estampado" simplemente pon una base homogénea de color y después usando el thickener mezclado con el color simplemente aplicar con un pincel muy fino....
You will enjoy and the result is very delicated.

There are several materials you can use to make the frame....
wood, styrofoam, porexpan etc. just something where you can nail the silk and that preserves free the surface you want to paint.
Hay muchos materiales con los que puedes fabricarte un bastidor....
madera, esteropor, porexpan etc. simplemente tiene que ser algo que te permita fijar la seda y que deje libre la superficie que quieres pintar.

Silk is delicated so please do not nail it to the frame with cloves that would make a desaster ...
La seda es delicada por lo que por favor no la fijes al bastidor con clavos que acabarían haciendo un desastre....
You have many other options like : 3 point tacks or pins.... something thin and at the same time able to retain the silk while you apply pressure.
Para eso tienes un montón de opciones ... desde chichetas de 3 puntas o alfileres... algo delgado pero al mismo tiempo capaz de retener la seda mientras aplicas un poco de presión.
Put the frame in horizontal so that when you apply the silk colors they do not flow uncontroled. Silk colors are very liquid.You can put a plastic piece below in order to avoid undesired surprises. Also I recomend you to put the frame on trestles.
Pon el bastidor en horizontal de este modo cuando aplicas los colores para seda no fluyen incontroladamente. Los colores para seda son muy líquidos. Puedes poner una pieza de plástico debajo para evitar sorpresas indeseadas.
Yo recomiendo poner el bastidos sobre caballetes.
I recomend you to remove excess color from the brush before applying. Just have next to you a piece of silk for this purpose.... So you also have the advantage to see - once it's dry - if this was the color you really wanted.
También recomiendo que se eliminen los excesos de color del pincel antes de aplicarlo. Simplemente ten a mano un trozo de seda para este propósito.... así además tienes la ventaja de ver- una vez está seco- si realmente ese era el color que querías.
It's always better to try it before so you can see combinations of colors and how they fit togheter.
Siempre es mejor probar antes, de ese modo puedes ver la combinación de colores y como quedan combinados.

First of all when you apply guta take care not to wet the silk.... otherwise it will not hold on the silk when you wash it.
Different guta colors -> different applications....
En primer lugar cuando apliques la guta ten precaución de no mojar la seda.... de otro modo no resistira sobre la seda cuando lo laves.
Diferentes colores de guta -> diferentes aplicaciónes...
Transparent guta. In general transparent guta penetrates better into the silk cause it's more liquid..
La guta transparente. En general la guta trasnparente penetra mejor en la seda porque es más liquida..
Asure yourself that when you paint closed patterns there is no gap in the guta .... otherwise the silkcolors that are quite liquid can escape and color that you don't want.
Asegurate bien que si quieres pintar motivos cerrados que no hay un hueco en la guta.... de otra forma el color para seda que es bastante líquido se puede escapar y colorear zonas que no quieres.
Colored guta is a little bit different in treatment..... as it is thicker it's better to pass two times to asure that there are no gaps.
It's interesting specially for certain patterns done with seals created by your own.
La guta coloreada la trato un poco diferente... como es más espesa es mejor pasar dos veces para asegurarte que no hay huecos.
Es especialmente interesante para ciertos patrones que están hechos con sellos creados por ti.
Just apply in a homogen way the guta on the surface and press carefully against the silk.

Just as a comment : do not try to make big surfaces with guta otherwise once it's dry it can be too hard in comparison to the rest of the painted silk. It,s important to keep the silk sof t , even applying guta.

Once the guta is dry ..... to asure yourself wait just for one day ( 24 h ), you can begin to paint.

To create a harmonic contrast just use the oposite in the wheel. If you want just to work one color it's always good to know that in silk painting you should begin from the lightest color to the deepest one.
It's a good idea also to work with diferent layers. So for example you can paint a light basis and go on with the diferent layers up to the darkest to get a good contrast in the image you want to paint.
Always have care that the capilarity once it has the first layer will change and the colors will not flow the same way.
Once you choose the color and the motiv of your sil scarve you can begin.
There are two options:
1. first wet the silk and apply the color
2. directly apply the color.
1. If you want to wet the silk before applying the color it's better to use a diffuser cause you can cover a bigger surface. And be carefull and do not saturate the silk only with water.... otherwise the paint is not able to flow.
2. applying direct the color. Just one special care.... the borders. Put the brush aproximately 2 cm away from the borders.... as the color flows you will see that the figurs fill up themselves.

How to fix colors:
To fix colors I recomend to iron it ( máximum).
Yoy should put the silk scarve between two white linen in order to preserve guta.
So does a scarve looks like, once it's painted and dry. As you can see there are many little wrinkles... you can iron them out. Just need to dry it and then iron.
Usually I iron it two times.... the first time within the two white linen and afterwards I wash the scarve and then I iron it while it is still wet , so the result is a smooth scarve. I do it also between the two white linen.
